Globalisation and the borderless world, promise a better world for all, but is not the answer for all
socio-economic dilemmas. While it can bring benefits to many, if not properly managed it can destroy the economies of countries and regions. Responding to the challenges of globalisation and the
knowledge economy requires new strategies. The new economy is one where risk, uncertainty and
constant changes are the rule, rather than the exception. (Copied from article).
